Berry & Oak, Standard Life and Legal & General Investment Management all went home multiple winners at the 2020 Professional Adviser Awards.

Berry & Oak, led by Sarah and Andrew Elson (pictured, middle), picked up the Adviser Firm of the Year – North East, Best Client Engagement (Advisers) and the big gong – UK Adviser Firm of the Year.

Legal & General Investment Management also won double, picking up the Best Multi-Asset Group and Best Multi-Asset Fund Range: Volatility Managed awards. Premier had dominated the multi-asset awards, which are based on data as well as judges’ opinions, for the last couple of years.

Architas also won in the Best Multi-Asset Fund: Rising Income category for its Architas Diversified Real Assets fund.

In the three platform categories, Standard Life took home two awards – one for its Wrap platform and one for Elevate. AJ Bell picked up the Best Platform for Advisers (AUA over £25bn) gong.

Professional Adviser editor Tom Ellis said: “It’s fantastic we are able to put on these awards to identify, honour and celebrate all the very best from our readers the financial adviser community.

“We are proud that so many financial advice firms took the time and effort to return our detailed case study – kindly provided and created by CISI head of financial planning Jaqueline Lockie. They gave our set of committed judges a tough enough time picking the winners.”

He added: “The regional adviser firm winners, some of which were returning champions, all fully deserved their awards and we were proud to honour Berry & Oak by giving them the overall adviser firm gong.

“They were fantastic winners and, of course, so was everyone else, from Paraplanner of the Year Lindsay John to Best Adviser Website winner Red Circle Financial Planning, as well as the winners from the Multi-Asset categories, the platforms, discretionary managers and adviser support services.”
