There is a perception that being an ESG investor is becoming incompatible with being an income investor. We don’t think that’s true.
We believe it is possible to build a portfolio of sustainable income by:
- Looking beyond the headline income and sustainability numbers and actively positioning the portfolio within and between asset classes
- Taking a multi-asset approach, to allow a greater range of tools to meet both the income and sustainability objectives of the portfolio
- Dynamically changing the positioning of the portfolio to take advantage of changing income and sustainability characteristics available in the market at different times.
